The Exciting Adventures of Evan and Sky:): September 2013

We wanted to document our journey to Jacksonville and we figured that pictures would be the best way, so come along with us as we take you through our trip :)

Day 1- June 18, 2013

Starting off in American Fork, UT. and saying goodbye to family.

Our car was very packed! We used vacuum bags to pack our clothes and fill our trunk.

Our first state sign!

Our second state sign...yes, it's Nebraska. After several hours we were ready for bed.

But bed was delayed as there was a pretty crazy storm and sold-out hotels in multiple cities.

Day 2- June 19, 2013

Quite the hotel...beggars can't be choosers:)

Who knew that Sydney, Nebraska was the world headquarters of Cabelas? Ah!

We made it to Iowa.

It was another day full of driving, but it was great!

Day 3- June 20, 2013

We woke up in Keokuk, which is right outside of Nauvoo.

Oh yeah!

Lots of water (who knew this would be our first bridge of SEVERAL in Jacksonville).

Keokuk is right outside of Illinois.

We stopped at Carthage first and it was absolutely incredible. We both have always wanted to visit here and it was definitely a spiritual experience.

We made it to the highlight of our trip:)

Such a beautiful temple and surrounding town! We did a session at the temple, walked around, and took lots of pictures!

So cool!

This was taken at the Blacksmith Shop.

We felt the Spirit very strongly as we walked where the early Saints dwelt for a short time. The river in the background of this pictures was breathtaking. We are so grateful for the sacrifices that the Saints made in order to follow Heavenly Father's plan and establish the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the West.

Day 4- June 21, 2013

Traveling into St. Louis.

We saw the temple on our way! We were surprised to see it right off the freeway.

Beautiful capital building, which is located right in front of the St. Louis arch.

Well...almost the perfect end, because this definitely wins the prize for Evan!

Day 5- June 22, 2013

Day five! Today we are making it to Florida! We slept in Chattanooga, Tennessee last night.

Even though we were in Florida, we thought we would take a few pictures expressing our feelings after being in the car for five days:)

Rolling in to Jacksonville...We aren't on the west coast anymore baby.

That's a little scary...but this sure is a beautiful view from our complex!

Home sweet home.

We drove to find Evan's work that is really close by our apartment.

This is the actual building he works at...we went to the wrong Vistakon building. Who knew?

No furniture, but we had yummy free pizza that the apartment place gave us a coupon for. It was fun trying to find the pizza place in a totally new city. This is when we discovered that we live REALLY close to every store you can probably think of!
